Join us February 19-20, 2016 for a plethora of fun, hands-on, environmentally-based educational opportunities while we show you how to "Explore the Natural World" with your students! Earn CLUs, network with educators and local scientists, and go home with great ideas for your classroom.

Presenter Proposals

The Louisiana Environmental Education Commission is accepting proposals for hour-long concurrent sessions to be held at the 19th Annual Environmental Education State Symposium. This year’s conference will be held at the Baton Rouge Marriott, February 19-20, 2016.
All concurrent sessions will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2016. The theme for this conference will be “Exploring the Natural World.” It is not necessary for presenters to adhere to the theme, but sessions that complement the theme are encouraged.
The Louisiana Environmental Education Commission has a mission to create a comprehensive and balanced environmental education initiative that will result in environmentally literate citizens who will effectively and constructively solve existing environmental problems, prevent new ones, and maintain a sustainable environment for future generations.
