Fishery Research Program Associate

 Agency/Location:  Great Lakes Fishery Commission, Ann Arbor, Michigan

Category:  Full time, two-year renewable term

Responsibilities:  Assist Science Director with research planning, contract administration, and research projects to support the Fishery Research Program.  The successful applicant will coordinate proposal review panels of scientists from Canada and the US.  Occasional field work required on research projects.  Incumbent will become familiar with a broad range of research projects that span the biological and social sciences. 

Qualifications:  Incumbent must have M.S. degree that includes basic background in biology, fishery biology, conservation, or a related discipline; be interested in fishery management; organizationally skillful; proficient with word processing and spreadsheets; have excellent written and oral communication skills; and relationally outgoing.  Statistical background and SCUBA useful.  Position available immediately. Canadian citizens are encouraged to apply; the Commission will provide assistance with visa requirements. 

Salary:  $34,000 - $40,000; full benefits package
