MEAT CUTTER

Brookshire Brothers in DeRidder La is currently looking to hire an individual with previous meat-cutting experience.

The first and most important responsibility and accountability is to provide friendly, courteous service to our customers. A meat cutter will receive from the Distribution Center meat in cases to be cut, sliced, sawed or ground into specific "cuts" of meat. He/she will make the "cuts" to be packaged and displayed in the meat case. He/she will also assist in various other activities directed by the general operation of the store as needed, including general cleaning and custodial duties and other specific activities as directed by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. A meat cutter must be able to crouch, grasp, lift, pull, push, reach, stand, kneel and walk in order to lift and carry meat cases to table in order to cut, slice, saw and/or grind the meat for purchase. He/she must be able to lift meat cases weighing up to 100 pounds to waist high. The must be able to stand in one place for long periods of time in order to prepare meat in a repetitive manner. The job requires a frequent exertion of a heavy force. Repetitive motion is required with substantial movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT This job requires work in a cold environment involving refrigerated and freezing environments.

MEAT CUTTER TRAINEE

Brookshire Brothers in DeRidder is looking to hire two individuals that would be interested in training to be a Meat Cutter. Would prefer someone that has had experience in a Meat Market environment. Will consider someone that is looking to start a new career in the Grocery Industry as a Meat Cutter.
