Join the Bureau ofOcean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement Team
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE), plays a key role in America's energy supply by managing the mineral resources on 1.7 billion acres of the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). This includes managing Renewable Energy Programs as well as Offshore Oil and Gas Leasing in federal waters, which accounts for more than 25 percent of America's domestic oil production and 15 percent of America's domestic natural gas production.
BOEMRE will be hiring environmental scientists in the coming months to do work in fields ranging from environmental studies to National Environmental Policy Act (NEP A) review to environmental compliance - all of which are critical to the balanced development of offshore resources.
